The President of the Management Board of Agencija ALAN participated in a meeting held under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on strengthening the Croatian defence industry and international cooperation. The meeting was attended by ministers of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Andrej Plenković the NATO Secretary General Mr. Mark Rutte and representatives of domestic companies gathered within the Croatian Defence Industry Competitiveness Cluster.
During the meeting, areas of activity were highlighted for more than 30 domestic companies, as well as representatives of scientific and research institutions, and their readiness for new international projects. It was emphasized that Croatian companies operate in accordance with NATO standards, possess NATO NSN numbers, and have the production capacities necessary for the development and export of innovative technologies. The domestic defence industry continuously strengthens cooperation with international partners and actively participates in the development of new projects.
Representatives of the industry emphasized the importance of continuous support in order for the domestic defence industry to continue to grow and increase its competitiveness within NATO and the European Union. It was highlighted that Croatia already has strong defence industry segments and recognized companies involved in NATO programmes and EU-level joint procurement programmes. New development areas are also in focus, including unmanned systems and multipurpose vessels. The preservation of the industrial base through framework agreements has proven to be crucial, and Croatia is today ready to offer its proven solutions to NATO, the global market, and Ukraine. ALAN Agency was presented as a company with the capacity to organize logistical support, as well as cooperation under G2G (government-to-government) models, which have already been recognized by certain EU Member States.
