Agency ALAN further reaffirmed its active international role through participation in the first official economic and diplomatic delegation of the Republic of Croatia, organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Minister Gordan Grlić Radman during the official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Through effective coordination and joint planning by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Agency ALAN, and the Croatian Defence Industry Competitiveness Cluster, meetings were held in Hanoi with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, General Phan Văn Giang, as well as with the Minister of Public Security, General Lương Tam Quang. Discussions focused on concrete opportunities for enhancing cooperation in the field of the defence industry.

As part of the official delegation, Agency ALAN participated in meetings with representatives of Vietnamese institutions, government bodies, and the business community, where it presented the capabilities of the Croatian defence industry and opportunities for future cooperation on the Asian market. The product portfolio that Agency ALAN has been actively promoting in Vietnam for an extended period was presented, together with carefully selected companies capable of meeting the specific requirements identified by Vietnamese end users.
In addition to Agency ALAN, the official Croatian economic delegation also included the companies HS Produkt, DOK-ING, Shadow Nautics, and Geolux.

Participation in such international activities confirms Agency ALAN’s important role in the economic diplomacy of the Republic of Croatia, as well as its ability to connect Croatian manufacturers with global partners and new markets, in line with the responsibilities entrusted to the Agency by the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

As part of the visit, the Chairman of the Management Board of Agency ALAN, Goran Basarac, presented a special plaque and expression of appreciation to the Minister of Public Security, General Lương Tam Quang, for the trust shown thus far and for the opportunity to present Croatian defence industry products through the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which has recognized Agency ALAN as a key partner in the procurement of Croatian defence products.

Such bilateral meetings and institutional cooperation further contribute to strengthening economic relations, the exchange of expertise, and the long-term positioning of the Croatian defence industry in the Southeast Asian region. The ultimate objective is to open highly promising markets for other product portfolios of the Croatian defence industry.
