On 2 October 2026, the international conference “EU 4 Defence Readiness - Road Map to Future” was held in Zadar, bringing together representatives of the defence industry, government institutions, armed forces, the business community, and international partners.

The conference focused on key topics concerning the future of European security and defence - strengthening defence capabilities, investment, the development of new technologies, industrial cooperation, and the positioning of the European defence industry in the global environment.
The conference was organised by the Croatian Defence Industry Competitiveness Cluster (HKKOI) and Agencija ALAN, under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, with Jutarnji list as the media partner.

Ahead of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić held a meeting with members of HKKOI, where they discussed current challenges and opportunities for the further development of the Croatian defence industry, strengthening domestic capacities, and its stronger connection with European and international markets.

For Agencija ALAN, such meetings represent an important platform for connecting Croatian manufacturers and defence companies with international partners, opening new business opportunities, and further strengthening the presence of the Croatian defence industry in international markets.
Through the joint efforts of institutions, industry, and international partners, we are creating the conditions for a stronger, more competitive, and internationally positioned Croatian defence industry.
