President of the Management Board of Agency ALAN, Goran Basarac, participated on 2 June 2026 in the expert panel “Bavaria and Croatia as Partners of the European Defence Industry”, held as part of the conference “Partnering in Defence | Bavaria & Croatia”, organized by the German-Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, which also operates in Croatia as the representative office of Bavaria.
The conference brought together representatives of industry, politics, and public administration with the aim of strengthening cooperation between Croatia and Bavaria in the field of the defence and security industry, as well as exchanging experiences regarding current challenges and development opportunities within the European defence sector.
During the panel discussion, participants discussed the potential for industrial cooperation, technological trends, and opportunities for the inclusion of Croatian and Bavarian companies in joint European defence projects. The President of the Management Board of Agency ALAN presented the Agency’s role in promoting the Croatian defence industry on international markets and emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships and international cooperation for the further development and competitiveness of the domestic defence sector.
The conference programme also included introductory presentations dedicated to the Bavarian and Croatian perspectives on the defence industry, with a particular focus on current trends, technological development, and the role of both countries in strengthening European defence capabilities.
By participating in this event, Agency ALAN once again confirmed its active role in connecting the Croatian defence industry with international partners and promoting its interests at the European level.
